Brenda Riddick- Roy

 

Brenda Riddick-Roy was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She is the proud daughter of A. Marie Riddick and the late James C. Riddick. Brenda attended the Academy of Norte Dame high school and graduated from Delaware State University (DSU) with a degree in Business Administration. At DSU, she pledged Delta Sigma Theta and is active in the Sorority with the Annapolis Alumnae Chapter.

 

At a young age, she was baptized at Mount Bethel Baptist Church where she served on the Young Adult Usher Board and then the Senior Usher Board. She worked on many programs and activities to include Sunday School, culinary club, and wherever else she was needed. Brenda later joined her husband at Mount Olive Baptist Church. She currently serves at Good Shepherd Ministries as the first lady, Sunday School Superintendent, and on the hospitality ministry.

 

Brenda has worked for the Government of the District of Columbia over 20 years in finance, which is her passion, and is currently a Financial Manager in the Office of Finance &  (OFRM). Fall of 2009, she was certified as a Certified Public Manager (CPM) from George Washington University. Brenda also teaches “Budgeting for Government Operations” through the District of Columbia’s Department of Human Resources.

 

Brenda is the biological mother to LaTasha (Vincent) Sterrett and grandmother of 5 beautiful grandchildren, Asaiah, Cataleya and Kitai; stepmother to Stephen and, Semaj  and the fairy-mother to many other children.
